Description
You will be joining GalaxEye Space, a company that is focused on building a fleet of next-generation multi-sensor Earth Observation satellites. As a Product UI/UX Designer, your role will involve transforming complex workflows and technical constraints into clean, thoughtful, and high-quality product interfaces for daily mission operations. Key Responsibilities: - Partner with product, engineering, and domain experts to understand user problems, workflows, and constraints. - Lead user research and discovery activities and convert insights into structured workflows and experience goals. - Create user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes (primarily in Figma) for web applications and dashboards. - Define interaction patterns, edge cases, and ensure design feasibility through close collaboration with frontend engineers. - Contribute to and evolve a cohesive design system across Mission Control and related products. - Maintain clear design documentation including UX flows, component usage guidelines, and specifications. - Conduct design reviews and iterate rapidly based on feedback. Qualifications Required: - 2+ years as a Product / UX / UI-UX Designer working on digital products (B2B dashboards or internal tools preferred). - Strong UX capabilities: problem framing, user journey mapping, information architecture, and interaction design. - Expertise in Figma for wireframing, visual design, and interactive prototyping (data-heavy or workflow-heavy screens). - Strong visual design fundamentals: layout, typography, spacing, alignment, and component consistency. - Ability to work closely with frontend engineers and deliver implementation-ready design specs. - Strong communication and collaboration skills. - Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design work with shipped examples. Bonus Skills (Nice-to-Have): - Experience designing tools for technical or operational users (monitoring tools, analytics dashboards, developer tools, etc.). - Exposure to geospatial/mapping or data visualization concepts. - Interest or background in space systems, aerospace, or mission-critical environments. - Experience contributing to or maintaining a design system. - Basic understanding of frontend technologies (React, responsive layouts).
