Overview Crackadeal is a tech-driven real estate renting solution startup on a mission to solve and improve the prevailing rental scenario. As part of our innovative team, this role places a strong emphasis on data-driven decision-making, creative problem-solving, and adopting a product development mindset. Role overview: UI/UX design is all about making digital products easy to use and accessible by focusing on how users interact with them. A UI/UX designer’s job involves understanding user needs, testing ideas, and continuously refining the design to create an experience that feels seamless and intuitive Compensation: Compensation: Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 40,000 per month depending on skill. Candidates are eligible to receive increased annual compensation based on performance. Bonuses also applicable. The compensation will increase to 12 LPA eventually after 3 - 4 years, depending on performance, if the candidate demonstrates their excellence consistently Key responsibilities Conduct User Research: Gather insights through interviews, surveys, and usability testing to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points.Design User Flows & Wireframes: Map out intuitive pathways for users and create low-fidelity wireframes that outline content structure and navigation.Create High-Fidelity UI Designs: Design visually appealing, on-brand interfaces that are accessible, responsive, and easy to use across devices.Develop Interactive Prototypes: Build clickable prototypes to simulate user interaction and validate design concepts before development.Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to align design with business and technical requirements.Test, Iterate, and Improve: Conduct usability testing, gather feedback, and continuously refine designs to enhance user experience and performance.Focus on UX over UI: UX focuses on the overall experience users have with a product, emphasizing ease of use, accessibility, and satisfaction. It involves understanding user needs, behaviors, and pain points to create intuitive, seamless interactions. While UI deals with the visual design, UX ensures that the product works efficiently and provides value throughout the user journey. Important notes regarding relevant required skills: Constant testing, iteration, and improvement - a major skill requirement The constant testing, iteration, and improvement of designs is undeniably the most crucial aspect of a UI/UX designer’s job. Without this ongoing process, designs risk becoming outdated, inefficient, or disconnected from user needs. This responsibility is the backbone of a designer's role because it ensures the end product is not only functional but truly user-centered. At the heart of testing lies the commitment to gathering feedback directly from users. This isn’t just about identifying immediate issues—it's about understanding how users interact with the design, what frustrates them, and where the experience can be streamlined. The most effective designs are not born from intuition alone; they are shaped through rigorous, real-world testing that reveals hidden problems and unspoken user needs.Iteration is where the magic happens. It’s the process of refining the design based on feedback and insights, continuously adjusting and optimizing. This phase isn’t about perfection at first glance but about progressively getting closer to an ideal solution. It’s the designer’s ability to refine, tweak, and rework elements until they arrive at an optimal design, and sometimes this means making drastic changes in response to what the testing reveals. The improvement phase is a constant commitment to making the product better, not just at launch but throughout its lifecycle. Design isn’t static, and neither are user needs. A designer must always look for ways to enhance the experience, adapt to new trends, and respond to user behavior. The end result is an interface that evolves over time, remaining relevant, functional, and aligned with the users' needs.Ultimately, testing, iteration, and improvement are not just part of the job—they are the core responsibilities that drive the success of a UI/UX designer. Without these cycles, the design process loses its purpose. It’s through this ongoing commitment to refinement that designers create products that resonate with users, offering intuitive and meaningful experiences. This continuous loop is what separates good designs from great ones, and it’s what defines the impact of a UI/UX designer’s work. The Evolving Role of UI/UX Designers as Product Managers - Requirement to think and operate like a product manager as well.In today’s fast-paced design world, it is increasingly expected that UI/UX designers take on responsibilities that traditionally belonged to product managers. Designers are not only expected to create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces, but they are also required to take a more holistic approach to the product’s development. This includes understanding the business goals, aligning design with the product strategy, and ensuring the product delivers value to users and stakeholders alike. By stepping into the role of a product manager, a UI/UX designer must prioritize the broader product vision, collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, and make decisions that balance both user needs and business objectives. This expanded role means designers are not only shaping the user experience but also driving product direction, feature prioritization, and long-term product growth. The integration of design with product management ensures that the design is not a standalone piece but an integral part of the product's success. Additional notes: Candidates must have an unclouded perspective on startup culture and exhibit a genuine drive to contribute meaningfully in a high-performance environment. This is in sound clarification that this is not a mere UI/UX design job, it is also a product development role wherein the term 'product' refers strictly to the product solution to be introduced to solve the prevailing rental problem. Please note that the term 'development' is not to be confused with software development, the role is strictly a non-technical role, but sound comprehension of overall technological usage and implementation is necessary. We follow a strict hiring policy and recruit only as per the following guidelines. We strongly advise going through it first before applying to check whether you are even a correct fit or not.https://docs.google.com/document/d/1IMhQmS9WqKnfeVAYzFR6oGeIbY65LwjBVttlberP92Q/edit?userstoinvite=jyotiskasaha743@gmail.com&sharingaction=manageaccess&role=writer&tab=t.0
