Typesetting & InDesign Paginator

We are seeking a detail-oriented and creative Typesetting and InDesign Specialist to join our team. This role requires proficiency in Adobe InDesign and strong knowledge of typography, layout design, and document preparation for both print and digital media. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and the ability to ensure that design projects meet both visual and technical specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Typesetting & Layout Design:

Design and format documents such as brochures, magazines, books, newsletters, and digital assets using Adobe InDesign. Ensure consistency and clarity in the layout and typography.

Document Preparation:

Prepare print-ready files, ensuring proper file formats, bleed, margins, and color settings for various types of media. Handle all pre-press production needs, such as proofing and quality checks.

Collaboration:

Work closely with graphic designers, content creators, and project managers to understand the design vision and translate it into polished, professional layouts. Ensure that all design elements align with brand guidelines.

Typography Expertise:

Select and apply appropriate fonts, styles, and spacing to create visually appealing and easy-to-read layouts. Maintain consistency across all projects.

File Management:

Organize and maintain project files, including source files, images, fonts, and templates. Manage multiple projects with varying deadlines while ensuring attention to detail and accuracy.

Quality Control:

Conduct thorough checks on the final output for design consistency, font usage, image quality, and formatting issues to ensure a high standard of work.

Adaptation for Digital Media:

Modify print designs for web and mobile use when necessary. Ensure proper optimization for online platforms while maintaining design integrity.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.

Strong understanding of typography, page layout, and color theory.

Experience in both print and digital media design.

Familiarity with pre-press processes and preparing files for printing.

Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.

Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with other departments.

Preferred Qualifications:

Degree or certification in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related field.

Experience with other design software (e.g., Adobe XD, Sketch).

Knowledge of HTML/CSS for digital design is a plus.
