As a Trucking Coordinator, your main responsibility is to oversee all trucking requests received from customers. It is crucial to ensure that these requests are accurately directed to the appropriate transporters and that quotes are promptly delivered to customers within the agreed upon turnaround times. Your role also involves coordinating the availability of vehicles to prevent any service failures and addressing any challenges that may arise with a sense of urgency. Keeping all relevant personnel informed about any obstacles encountered during transportation operations is essential to maintain smooth workflow. Additionally, part of your duties includes meeting with customers to discuss our transportation services, gathering valuable insights about their needs, and identifying potential opportunities to collaborate with other DP World Business Units. You will be tasked with generating inquiries, securing bookings, and negotiating prices with vendors to ensure customer satisfaction. Meeting set volumes and revenue targets for the assigned location is a key performance indicator for this role. It is also important to manage receivables effectively and oversee the transport team's operations while actively seeking new clients to contribute to business growth. You will be expected to identify areas for improvement in the transport application and work towards implementing enhancements to optimize its functionality. Flexibility is essential in this position, as you may be required to take on additional or modified responsibilities as determined by the company. A crucial requirement for this role is experience in Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) compliance to ensure a safe working environment. Furthermore, you are expected to achieve full implementation of the OTM and CARGOS platforms to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
