Job Description

Key Responsibilities : Training Delivery : Deliver training sessions to new or existing assistant electricians, focusing on electrical fundamentals, safety procedures, and industry best practices. Provide both theoretical and practical training, ensuring that all trainees are proficient with electrical systems, tools, and equipment. Use various training methods (lectures, demonstrations, hands-on practice, simulations) to ensure that trainees fully understand key electrical concepts and procedures. Curriculum Development : Develop and update training materials, manuals, and practical exercises tailored to the needs of assistant electricians. Keep training programs aligned with industry standards, technological advancements, and safety regulations. Collaborate with the management team to address skill gaps and tailor training programs accordingly. Safety Compliance : Train employees on proper safety protocols and ensure adherence to electrical safety regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, NFPA 70E). Conduct practical safety drills and emergency response training. Continuously assess the work environment and suggest improvements to ensure a safe working space. Assessment & Evaluation : Assess the progress of trainees through tests, practical assessments, and on-the-job observations. Provide constructive feedback and identify areas of improvement. Maintain accurate training records and track trainees' progress throughout the program. Hands-On Supervision : Supervise and guide trainees during their practical work experience, ensuring correct procedures and safety standards are followed. Provide on-the-job mentoring and support to help trainees transition from theory to real-world applications. Report Generation : Prepare training progress reports, documenting the outcomes and evaluations of each session or training program. Provide recommendations for training improvements based on feedback and observations. Continuous Improvement : Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in electrical technology, tools, and techniques to improve training programs. Attend workshops and training sessions to enhance personal knowledge and teaching skills. Key Qualifications : Education : High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited electrical apprenticeship program or similar certification required. Additional certifications in teaching, safety (e.g., OSHA), or specialized electrical systems is a plus. Experience : 5+ years of experience working as an electrician, with a strong background in electrical systems, tools, and safety protocols. Prior experience in a teaching, mentoring, or training role preferred. Skills : Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, circuits, installation techniques, and troubleshooting. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work with diverse groups of trainees and adapt training methods to different learning styles. Hands-on experience with electrical tools, safety equipment, and machinery. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Certifications : Electrical license/certification as per local or state regulations. Certification in electrical safety training (e.g., OSHA 30-hour or 10-hour training) is preferred. Personal Attributes : Patience and the ability to work well with individuals at various skill levels. Detail-oriented with a focus on precision and safety. Passionate about educating and developing skilled workers. Strong leadership abilities and the ability to foster teamwork and a positive learning environment.
