Role Summary:

The Graduate Architect Trainee will be responsible for supporting the architectural team in developing accurate 2D drawings from laser scan data (point clouds) using Autodesk Revit. The role involves understanding as-built site conditions, translating them into precise architectural documentation, and maintaining project quality and standards under the supervision of senior BIM and architectural professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret and analyse scan data to generate architectural floor plans, sections, and elevations in Revit.
• Support the team in preparing as-built 2D documentation (plans, sections, elevations, and details) from point cloud data.
• Work closely with Project Leads and Quality teams to ensure accuracy, alignment, and consistency with project standards.
• Maintain layer management, annotation standards, and drawing presentation as per company templates.
• Assist in setting up Revit projects and organizing view templates, sheet sets, and reference links.
• Participate in internal review meetings and implement feedback to improve drawing quality.
• Learn and apply company BIM standards, naming conventions, and CDE (Common Data Environment) processes for drawing management.
• Maintain version control and update records in the shared project environment.
• Stay updated with Revit and Scan-to-BIM workflows for continuous skill enhancement.

Requirements

Skills and Competencies

• Basic understanding of architectural drafting and construction drawings.
• Knowledge of Autodesk Revit Architecture (mandatory).
• Familiarity with AutoCAD for 2D drafting.
• Awareness of point cloud data and scan-to-drawing workflows (training will be provided).
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and visual presentation.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and deliver within defined timelines.
