Job Description

A Tier 1 DLP (Data Loss Prevention) Triage Engineer is responsible for monitoring and responding to DLP alerts to prevent data breaches and ensure data security. This role involves the initial assessment and triage of DLP incidents, identifying potential data loss events, and escalating them as necessary. Key responsibilities include: Monitoring and Analysis: Continuously monitoring DLP systems for alerts and analyzing potential data loss incidents. Incident Triage: Performing initial triage of DLP alerts to determine the severity and priority of incidents. Escalation: Escalating high-severity incidents to higher-level security teams for further investigation and response. Documentation: Maintaining detailed records of DLP incidents, actions taken, and outcomes. Collaboration: Working closely with other security teams to ensure effective incident response and resolution. Process Improvement: Identifying opportunities for process enhancements to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of DLP monitoring and response. Qualifications: Experience with DLP solutions, including endpoint, email, and cloud-based tools. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Familiarity with security incident response processes and best practices.
