Thumbnail Designer (YouTube / Social Media)

About the Role

We’re looking for a creative and data-driven Thumbnail Designer to create high-performing, eye-catching thumbnails that drive clicks and skyrocket views. If you live and breathe YouTube trends, understand human psychology, and can turn a video topic into a thumbnail that stops the scroll, we want you!

Key Responsibilities

• Design bold, clickable thumbnails for YouTube videos (and other platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Shorts, etc.)
• Collaborate with content creators/editors to understand video topics and key moments
• Create multiple thumbnail variations for A/B testing
• Use contrast, emotion, typography, color theory, and composition to maximize click-through rates (CTR)
• Incorporate faces, expressions, text overlays, arrows, circles, and other proven CTR-boosting elements
• Stay up-to-date with current YouTube and social media thumbnail trends
• Work with brand guidelines while pushing creative boundaries
• Deliver clean, organized PSD/Source files with layers
• Meet daily/weekly deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

• Proven experience designing high-CTR YouTube thumbnails (portfolio required – please include links to channels/videos you’ve worked on)
• Expert in Photoshop (or equivalent – Figma, Canva Pro, Photopea, etc.)
• Strong sense of color, typography, composition, and visual hierarchy
• Understanding of what makes people click (curiosity, emotion, urgency, contrast, simplicity)
• Ability to interpret video content and translate it into compelling visuals
• Fast turnaround time without sacrificing quality
• Excellent communication and ability to receive feedback gracefully

Job Types: Part-time, Contractual / Temporary

Pay: ₹100,800.00 - ₹200,600.00 per month
