The DAV Group - Chennai, functioning under the aegis of Tamil Nadu Arya Samaj Educational Society was established in 1970 at Gopalapuram in Chennai with just 50 students. The Group today, caters to over 40,000 students across Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. It has a staff of 1500 plus which includes 1,200 teachers. Four of our branches have been consistently ranked amongst top 15 schools in the country.In addition to K-12 schooling, DAV has recently ventured into Higher Education with DAV-SMK Fomra College of Arts & Science at Kelambakkam, Chennai.

In this context, we would be interested in recruiting dedicated TGT1 English teacher for Classes 6,7 & 8 for our Boys Mogappair School. The teacher will impart English language and literature lessons, help students improve reading, writing, speaking and comprehension skills, foster love for literature, and support their overall academic growth.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A. / B.Sc. or equivalent) with English as a major or pass subject.
• Professional teaching qualification (B.Ed. or equivalent) or any teaching‑certification as required by the school.
• Good command of English — both written and spoken.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver English lessons (language, grammar, comprehension, literature) for Classes 8–10.
• Prepare teaching materials, assignments, and lesson plans.
• Assess students through tests/assignments, evaluate performance, and give feedback.
• Maintain records of student progress and attendance.
• Provide extra support to students needing help.
• Maintain a respectful, disciplined and inclusive classroom environment.
• Participate in school academic and co‑curricular activities (e.g. debates, writing/clubs) if required by the school.

Salary shall commensurate with experience
