Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated PCB Design Documentation & Validation Engineer to support our hardware and product development teams in developing and validating high-quality electronic products. The candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining PCB design documentation, preparing Bills of Materials (BOMs), assisting in schematic preparation, and leading testing and validation of prototype and production hardware.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in testing, debugging, and validation of prototype circuits and production hardware.
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and validation procedures for electronic hardware and PCB assemblies.
• Perform functional, performance, and reliability testing of prototypes and production units.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and document test results with clear root-cause analysis.
• Prepare, review, and maintain accurate PCB design documentation, including fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and Gerber files.
• Generate and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) to ensure component accuracy, availability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Support the hardware design team in preparing and reviewing circuit schematics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware, software, mechanical, and procurement) to ensure smooth design-to-manufacturing transition.
• Maintain version control of design files, documentation, and component libraries.
• Coordinate with vendors and manufacturing partners for DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) reviews.
• Conduct validation of PCB layouts and hardware circuits to ensure compliance with functional and safety requirements.
• ·Perform validation of system integration, ensuring hardware, software, and communication interfaces function as expected.
• Support DFMEA/PFMEA reviews with validation insights to mitigate potential risks early in design.
• Document and track validation issues, working with design teams to resolve them before product release.
• Provide technical support in resolving design, documentation, testing, and BOM-related issues during the product lifecycle.
• Maintain and calibrate test equipment, tools, and measurement systems to ensure reliable testing.
• Prepare detailed technical reports for validation activities and present findings to stakeholders.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, or related engineering field.
• 0–3 years of experience in PCB design, documentation, and/or validation.
• Hands-on experience with PCB design tools (Altium, OrCAD, KiCAD, Allegro, or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of schematic capture, PCB layout fundamentals, and validation processes.
• Knowledge of electronic components, datasheets, and sourcing processes.
• Familiarity with prototype testing, debugging, and validation methods.
• Strong knowledge of electronic circuits, measurement techniques, and use of lab equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter, LCR meter, function generator, etc.).
• Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with hardware, software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams.
