Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Testing Specialist, Legal Assurance Business: Legal Principal responsibilities Assist in preparation of annual plan for Assurance activities in advance for the next year. Ensure accurate, efficient and timely completion of independent Legal control assessments, taking responsibility for their successful delivery Lead meetings and discussions with the relevant control owners and provide clarification or answer questions Control owners may have in relation to the assurance activities Work closely with first line operations teams to understand the processes of assigned controls by effective stakeholder management, ensuring constructive assessment outcomes Review and analyze the information and responses provided by the Control owners, perform sample testing as required in order to conclude about the Design and Operating effectiveness of the controls. Document the activity undertaken and results by update work plans (using IT tools or otherwise), system of record (Helios) with the results of the assurance activity Prepare Draft Report, discuss the same with Lead reviewer and finalize it Evaluate the root cause analysis for all material issues and remediation plans in places to ensure that they are sufficient and fit for purpose. Conduct and lead Close out meetings with Control owners. Support the Head of Global Legal Assurance as required, including creating customized testing methodology and testing templates, preparation of reports and MIs, papers for various forums/meetings/committees Requirements Minimum of 6 to 8 years proven experience in conducting end to end audit for internal and external Experience in controls testing, conducting walkthroughs, audit and/or legal management experience Minimum Bachelor s degree in related field such as commerce or law. (preference to intermediate CA /ICWA/CS) Working knowledge of good risk management in large banks and governance frameworks including 3 lines of defense criteria. Experience of process mapping and delivering professional reports and presentations gained within a financial services organization or audit/consulting practice. Understanding of the activities of relevant business lines and associated Legal risks.
