Key objectives of this role are Testing and qualification of new products to national and international standards Assist HOL in all activities to secure and maintain NABL Accreditation for the lab Assist in the manufacturing transfer of products Job Responsibilities Testing Engineer/Documentation Engineer are respective NABL related titles and certain responsibilities might be overlapping. Testing Engineer: T1. Testing of Luminaire Goniophotometer T2. Safety & Performance Tests of Luminaire T3. Preparation of Work Instructions T4. Technical Record Keeping T5. Raising amendment request T6. Measurement Uncertainty T7. Calculation T8. Calibration & Maintenance Equipment T9. Preparation of Test Reports T10. Handling & Maintenance of reference Standard T11. Internal Audit T12. Correction & Corrective Actions T13. Responsible in absence of Documentation Engineer Documentation Engineer: D1. Testing of Luminaire - Integrating Sphere D2. Safety & Performance Tests of Luminaire D3. Preparation of documents D4. System Record Keeping D5. Review of Test Request D6. Raising amendment request D7. Measurement Uncertainty D8. Calculation D9. Validity of Test D10. Internal Audit D11. Correction & Corrective Actions D12. Responsible in absence of Technical Engineer General Lab Management and Administration: M1. Assist in Asst. Manager Quality in all his/her activities related to Lab Management M2. Prioritize projects in testing & compliance and ensure progress towards completion M3. Manage the day to day operation of testing functions M4. Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations. M5. Foster a spirit of cooperation within and between departments. Job specification Parameter Minimum Preferred Qualification Dip E&E / BE /B Tech (Mechanical / Electrical) - Experience Dip E&E with 2 years BE / B Tech with 1 years Photometry, Safety & Performance testing of Lamps & Luminaire, Lab Management System (ISO/IEC 17025:2017) Dip E with 5 years BE / B Tech with 2 years Photometry, Safety & Performance testing of Lamps & Luminaire, Lab Management System (ISO/IEC 17025:2017) Reportees None Location Ahmedabad Factory Job Type Full Time Industry Lighting, Electrical, Automotive Manufacturing, Electronics Skills & Competencies Should possess adequate Business Acumen Should have worked in Testing function in a similar capacity Should be a self-starter & a quick learner Should be an excellent team worker Should have strong experience in problem solving tools like 5W – 1H, Fish bone analysis etc. Knowledge in areas like Six Sigma, Lean and 5S is a major plus Should possess excellent communication skills Knowledge Required Quality Management Systems ISO 9001 Testing Lab Management as per ISO 17025: 2017 Photometry Standards - LM 79, LM 80, and TM 21 Safety Standards for LED Luminaires (IEC 60598 / IS 10322 series) and Control Gear Calibration of testing instruments
