Test Engineer(Offshore/ Canada)

Job Description Demonstrated experience with software testing and test automation Demonstrated experience in the following technologies/tools: Java, Selenium, Web driver, TestNG, Junit, Maven, Ant, IDEs (Eclipse of IntelliJ), Git, Jenkins, Postman or SOAP UI Expertise required in one or more of the following methodologies: Data Driven testing, Keyword Driven testing, Behaviour Driven testing. Experience testing Web services: REST, SOAP Proficient in one of the following languages: Java, Python, JavaScript Participate in sprint planning, provide story point estimates; participate in other Agile ceremonies Create and execute (manually) complex test cases based on test strategies and plans while maintaining established test case standards and patterns Actively participate in collaborative resolution of defects including root cause analysis of production incidents Actively participate in maintenance of test automation suite in troubleshooting failures Design and develop automation test scripts for the test cases using utilities from established automation framework while following industry best practices Code review test scripts written by fellow test engineers before merging into version control system to ensure compliance with set standards Work with DevOps team to define test execution pipelines to support the continuous integration process Effectively communicate testing activities, findings, and project risk in oral and written formats Under minimal supervision, ensure quality of software products delivered within the software development life cycle Develop and manually execute REST APIs or SOAP APIs; use existing framework to automate these API tests Potentially participate in development of test automation framework(s) under the guidance of Test Automation and Application architects and Test Automation Lead Participate in reviews of user stories, system architecture, code, and design documents. Academic & trades qualifications Bachelors degree in computer science/engineering or science technology, Engineering, Math (STEM) degree Work experience & skills 10+ years of experience in Manual/Automation Testing
