Test Engineer - SDET

As an Enterprise Test Engineer at DTCC, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all applications and systems meet defined quality standards. Your impact will be significant as you work within the Enterprise Test Engineering family to conduct functional and non-functional testing, develop testing processes, and collaborate closely with developers to address system defects. Your responsibilities will include preparing, implementing, and maintaining test cases and automated test scripts, ensuring traceability from business requirements to automated scripts, and constructing end-to-end business scenarios. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare, maintain, and implement test cases based on user stories; present results and track defects to closure. - Develop and maintain automated test scripts to ensure the functionality of solutions and meet design specifications. - Review test cases and automation approach with collaborators for comprehensive coverage and feedback. - Track test execution milestones, report on issues and risks potentially affecting project timelines. - Construct end-to-end business scenarios aligning with business objectives and goals. - Identify environmental and data requirements dependencies and contribute to a standard framework of reusable functions. - Develop a basic understanding of the product being delivered and ensure process compliance and associated documentation. - Align risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to supervise and mitigate risks effectively. Qualifications: - Minimum of 3+ years of related experience in QA Testing. - Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience. Talents Needed for Success: - 3+ years of QA Testing experience with at least 2 years of hands-on Test Automation Experience. - Proficiency in Java, TestNG, JUnit, and Selenium. - Hands-on experience with Git and Bitbucket. - Knowledge of automation standards and best practices, including XPath axes and CSS selectors. - In-depth understanding of common automation design patterns and software development methodologies. - Proficiency in Defect Management using ALM and Agile/Scrum management through JIRA. - Ability to develop, maintain, and implement functional and automated test scripts, including API automation with REST Assured. - Familiarity with build tools such as Maven and writing SQL queries. - Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Positive relationship and collaboration skills.
