Job Description

As the Country Manager for API Sales in the LATAM market, you will be responsible for leading and driving the sales strategy and operations for our API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) products within the region. This role requires a dynamic individual with a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of success in sales management. Key Responsibilities: 1. Sales Strategy Development : Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to penetrate and expand market share in the LATAM API market. Identify key market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to drive strategic decision-making. Set clear sales targets and objectives aligned with overall business goals. 2. Team Leadership and Management: Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing sales team, providing guidance, support, and motivation to achieve sales targets. Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and implement training programs to enhance team capabilities. Foster a collaborative and results-driven culture within the sales team. 3. Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and stakeholders in the pharmaceutical industry. Actively engage with customers to understand their needs, address concerns, and identify opportunities for business growth. Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams such as marketing, product development, and operations to ensure alignment with customer requirements. 4. Market Expansion and Business Development: Explore new business opportunities and potential partnerships to expand market presence and revenue streams. Lead negotiations with clients, ensuring favourable terms and conditions while maximizing profitability. Monitor market dynamics, regulatory changes, and industry developments to adapt sales strategies accordingly. 5. Performance Analysis and Reporting: Utilize data analytics and sales performance metrics to track progress against sales targets and identify areas for improvement. Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, providing insights into sales performance, market trends, and forecasts. Implement corrective actions and initiatives to optimize sales efficiency and effectiveness. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred. Proven experience in pharmaceutical sales, with a focus on API products, preferably in a leadership role. In-depth knowledge of the LATAM pharmaceutical market, including regulatory requirements, market dynamics, and customer segments. Strong leadership abilities with a track record of building and managing high-performing sales teams. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute sales plans to drive business growth. Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools. Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving sales targets and driving bottom-line performance.
