Job Description

Role & responsibilities Key Roles and Responsibilities of a Tendering Manager: Tender Identification and Evaluation: Actively searches for and identifies potential tender opportunities from various sources (online platforms, client requests, public notices, etc.). Evaluates the viability and suitability of identified tenders based on company capabilities and strategic goals. Conducts market research and competitor analysis to understand the competitive landscape. Bid Preparation and Management: Develops and manages a comprehensive bid strategy, including project plan, resource allocation, and risk assessment. Ensures accurate and complete bid documents are prepared, including technical specifications, pricing, and contract terms. Manages the bid preparation process, coordinating with internal teams and external consultants as needed. Ensures timely submission of bids, adhering to strict deadlines. Tender Evaluation and Negotiation: Evaluates bids received from other companies and determines the best option for the client. Negotiates contract terms and conditions with the client to ensure favorable outcomes. Contract Management: Manages the handover process to the relevant department upon award of the tender. Monitors and reports on the progress of the tendering process to senior management, including progress against targets and potential risks. Documentation and Compliance: Maintains accurate records of all tender activities, including bid submissions, evaluations, and contract negotiations. Ensures compliance with all relevant regulations and legal requirements. Coordination and Communication: Facilitates effective communication between departments and the bid team. Coordinates with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of the tendering process. Continuous Improvement: Identifies areas for improvement in the tendering process and implements best practices.
