Tendering Engineer (Electricals)

We are looking for an experienced Tendering Engineer to join our VV Electricals team. The ideal car handle the end-to-end tendering process, from analyzing project requirements to preparing compe and coordinating with clients and vendors. Roles and Responsibilities: 1. Tender Preparation: Study and analyze tender documents (technical and commercial). Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQS, and proposals as per client requirements. Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations. 2. Technical Evaluation: Review project specifications and drawings for compliance. Provide technical clarifications and support during the bidding stage. 3. Documentation: Prepare and maintain technical and commercial bid documents. Keep accurate records of tender logs, project files, and correspondence. 4. Coordination: Liaise with design, procurement, and project teams for cost accuracy. Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and internal departments. 5. Costing & Pricing: Analyze material, labor, and subcontract costs. Support management in developing competitive pricing strategies. 6. Follow-up: Track tender status and follow up with clients post-submission. Participate in negotiation meetings when required. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Tender Accuracy (% of tenders without technical/commercial errors) Bid Success Rate (tenders won vs. submitted) On-time Submission Rate Cost Estimation Accuracy Vendor Response Efficiency Client Communication Quality Process Compliance Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. 2-8 years of experience in tendering or estimation (preferably in electrical projects). Strong knowledge of electrical systems and project costing. Proficiency in MS Excel, and tender documentation. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
