Job Title : Tendering and Bidding Engineer (BESS & Solar Projects) Designation: Senior Executive Location : Ahmedabad Job Type : Full-Time Department : Business Development / New and Renewable Energy Job Summary: We are looking for a motivated Tendering and Bidding Engineer with a focus on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and Solar Power Projects . The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of these technologies and experience in the tendering and bidding process. In this role, you will assist in preparing competitive bids, analyzing tender documents, and supporting the business development team in the preparation of high-quality proposals. Key Responsibilities: Tender Documentation : Assist in reviewing and understanding tender documents and requirements for BESS and Solar power projects. Bid Preparation : Assist in preparing cost-effective and technically sound proposals by gathering all relevant technical and commercial information for both BESS and solar projects. Cost Estimation : Prepare preliminary cost estimates and work with senior engineers to calculate pricing for materials, installation, and services based on project requirements. Bid Submission : Support in compiling the necessary documentation for tender submissions, including technical specifications, compliance statements, and financial bids. Technical Clarifications : Provide initial technical clarifications and support to clients or stakeholders regarding project specifications and requirements. Stakeholder Coordination : Coordinate with internal teams, including engineering, procurement, and project management, to ensure all aspects of the bid are covered and meet the clients needs. Market Research : Conduct research on competitors and market trends to inform bidding strategies and improve the competitiveness of proposals. Risk Assessment : Assist in identifying potential risks related to bidding and propose risk-mitigation strategies, particularly for solar and energy storage systems. Compliance Review : Ensure that all bids meet the necessary regulatory and technical compliance requirements for both BESS and solar energy projects. Follow-up : Assist in the preparation of post-bid clarifications and follow up with clients regarding tender results and potential contract negotiations. Documentation and Reporting : Maintain proper documentation of all tendering and bidding activities, including tender notes, communication, and bid outcomes. Qualifications: Education : Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Experience : 2-3 years of experience in tendering, bidding, or proposal preparation in the BESS and Solar Power industry. Understanding of basic technical concepts related to Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) , solar power , and energy systems . Skills : Basic knowledge of solar and BESS technologies, system components, and their applications. Familiarity with the tendering process and bid preparation for large-scale projects. Strong attention to detail and ability to work with multiple stakeholders. Proficient in using Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with proposal preparation software is a plus. Key Competencies: Communication Skills : Strong written and verbal communication skills to ensure clear and effective coordination with clients and internal teams. Analytical Thinking : Ability to analyze tender documents, identify key requirements, and assess technical and commercial risks. Team Collaboration : Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, supporting senior engineers and business development managers. Time Management : Ability to manage multiple bids and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Attention to Detail : High attention to detail in preparing accurate and comprehensive bid documents.
