Admission Counsellor – Job Description An Admission Counsellor guides prospective students through the admissions process, providing information about academic programs, eligibility requirements, campus facilities, and application procedures. They play a key role in helping students make informed decisions and supporting institutions in meeting enrollment goals. Key Responsibilities Respond to inquiries from prospective students and parents via phone, email, in-person meetings, and virtual counseling sessions. Explain program options, admission requirements, tuition and fees, scholarships, and financial-aid opportunities. Assist students with completing application forms, preparing necessary documents, and meeting application deadlines. Maintain and update student records in the admissions management system. Conduct campus tours, open houses, webinars, and information sessions. Follow up with leads to improve application-to-admission conversion rates. Collaborate with academic departments, marketing teams, and administration to support enrollment initiatives. Participate in outreach activities such as education fairs, school visits, and promotional events. Analyze admission data to identify trends and provide reports to management. Ensure high levels of customer service and maintain strong relationships with applicants. Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Education, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Ability to guide students empathetically and professionally. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in CRM or admissions management software. Ability to multitask and work in a target-driven environment.
