Job Description

As a Technology Support I at JPMorgan Chase within theCommercial & Investment BankTeam, you will ensure the operational stability, availability, and performance of our production application flows. Be part of the team responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, identifying, escalating, and resolving production service interruptions for all internally and externally developed systems, ensuring a seamless user experience.

Job responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot production application flows to ensure end-to-end application or infrastructure service delivery to support business operations
  • Assist in the improvement of operational stability and availability through participation in problem management
  • Assist in monitoring production environments for anomalies and address issues using standard observability tools
  • Identify and document basic issues and potential solutions for business and technology stakeholders
  • Support the management of incidents, problems, and changes in technology applications or infrastructure, and escalate in compliance with firm policy and processes

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • 1+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in troubleshooting, resolving, and maintaining information technology services
  • Experience with an IBM zSeries Mainframe environment
  • Knowledge of JCL, CICS, COBOL, DB2 and VSAM & utilities
  • Knowledge of Control-M/CA7 scheduling tools, MQ, NDM/FTP
  • Experience withUnix/Linux/Windows Distributed Application Support
  • Basic knowledge of application development and its lifecycle
  • Experiencein Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework
  • Incident management from triage to root cause resolution.
  • Excellent and proven problem-solving skills and Strong written communication skills and customer facing.
  • Ability to automate and build tools for improved productivity
  • Flexible, co-operative, and resilient with the option to extend coverage if required and will be mostly aligned to India Afternoon shift

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Previous exposure to application support Mainframe and/or Unix/Linux/Windows Distributed App Support
  • Experience doing application development and/or production support in finance domain.
  • Exposure to one or more general-purpose programming languages or automation scripting
  • Familiarity with applications or infrastructure in a large-scale technology environment on-premises or in the public cloud
  • AWS cloud experience
