Mō te tūranga | About the Role

This full-time, permanent role (40 hours/week, Mon–Fri) is based in Te Kuiti. You’ll be responsible for:✅ Maintaining overhead lines and underground cables (230V–33kV)✅ Servicing and wiring network and substation equipment✅ Cable jointing and secondary wiring✅ Performing network switching and logging activities✅ Constructing new electrical reticulation to standardsYou’ll also join the after-hours faults roster (1 in every 4 weeks). Living locally is essential for fault response.Your technical skills are only part of the story. We are looking for someone with a great attitude, a sense of humour, and evidence of a strong commitment to Health & Safety.

We’re Looking For a Skilled Technician With

✅ Level 6 Technical Certificate/NZCE or equivalent✅ EWRB registration and current practising licence (minimum limited)✅ 3+ years’ experience as a power technician and registered electrician✅ Strong safety focus, problem-solving skills, and a great attitude✅ Class 1 driver’s licence and ability to lift up to 20kg
