Description
As a Technical Writer, your main role is to create clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation for various technical content, such as manuals, guides, FAQs, and API documentation. Your work will contribute to the success of the products by ensuring that technical concepts are easily understood by users with varying levels of expertise. Key Responsibilities: - Develop, write, and maintain technical documentation like user manuals, installation guides, API documentation, FAQs, and online help content. - Collaborate with software developers, engineers, QA teams, and product managers to understand technical requirements and translate them into easy-to-understand documentation. - Organize and structure documentation logically for enhanced readability and accessibility. - Research and gather information from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and completeness. - Create visual aids like screenshots, diagrams, flowcharts, and infographics to enhance documentation. - Ensure consistency in terminology, tone, and style across all documentation. - Work with UX/UI designers to improve user experience through clear and concise content. - Review and update existing documentation based on product changes, customer feedback, and emerging industry trends. - Maintain a document repository and version control to manage different document iterations effectively. - Assist in writing release notes, internal knowledge base articles, and training materials. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree (Preferably B. Tech). - Proven experience (2+ years) as a Technical Writer or in a similar role. - Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts into simple, user-friendly content. - Proficiency in using documentation tools such as Markdown, Confluence, MadCap Flare, RoboHelp, Microsoft Word, Google Docs, and DITA XML. - Experience with API documentation tools such as Swagger, Postman, or OpenAPI. Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and basic scripting is a plus. - Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. - Experience in working with Agile teams and understanding software development processes (SDLC). - Basic knowledge of version control systems like Git is a plus. Preferred Skills: - Experience with Content Management Systems (CMS). - Knowledge of software development, coding, or scripting (Python, JavaScript, etc.). - Familiarity with AI-driven content generation tools. Please Note: The company has an onsite requirement at either the Calicut or Trivandrum offices.
