About the Role The Technical Solution Architect will be part of business capture function of the Federal Government Solutions Group in DivIHN and will report to the Vice President Federal Solutions in DivIHN. He/she will be responsible for assisting DivIHN s growth by capturing federal contracts in the IT professional services space by : Reviewing US Federal Government Request for Proposals and Information (RFPs & RFIs) documents Assisting in bid/no-bid decision based on DivIHN s capability to perform outlined requirements. Utilizing current DivIHN tools, technology, and personal Subject Matter Expertise (SME) to research and build realistic, unique, and elegant solutions to exceed customer requirements. Primary accountabilities and responsibilities will include: Initial Preparation and periodic updates: Gaining a deep understanding of the capabilities of DivIHN in various technology/ service domains, including partner capabilities; understanding the delivery methods followed by DivIHN, including the quality systems. Understanding how DivIHN s and partners IT solution and service delivery capabilities would come together to deliver solutions and services for large programs with the US Federal Government. Learning the procurement mechanisms followed by the US Federal Government and understanding the structure of the RFP and RFI documents, and related processes. Daily work: Reading RFP/RFI documents, understanding the client need context and actual needs, and conceiving/ verbalizing high level solution(s) that would meet the client needs. Thinking with the mindset of an enterprise architect while reading the RFP/RFI documents, understanding client needs, and conceiving solutions. Comparing the solution with capabilities that exist with DivIHN and known partners, and identifying gaps; generating themes of differentiation (win themes) while carrying out the solution conception and capability comparisons. Describing the solution to the SMEs with DivIHN and partners and getting detailed information where required, to add to the solution write-up. Owning the solution(s) conceived (that is, thinking through actual delivery), and writing up the solution; taking the help of specialists for specific technology areas where the TSO does not have sufficient expertise. Generating infographics (with the help of the creative resource) that illuminate and describe the solution or support the solution narrative. Generating effort estimates, with the help of the SMEs as needed Providing the solution write-ups and infographics to the proposal writers, and enabling them to complete the proposal; Checking the final proposal content for completeness and proper communication of the solution. Interacting and clarifying solution to the delivery team, when we win the deal. In addition to the above, the Technical Solution Architect will develop innovative white papers/presentations for government/partner meetings. Experience & Qualifications Bachelor degree with specialization in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Computer Applications Minimum 15 years experience in IT Experience as a Solution Architect with exposure to/ experience with a wide range of technologies and applications Experience with ERP and/or Middleware technical solutioning required. Experience with Enterprise/Cloud Architecture (Migration and Modernization, Cloud Operations, DevSecOps) preferred. Experience with Salesforce and/or ServiceNow preferred. Experience in solution development for proposal to US Federal Government is preferred.
