Technical Sales - Paper Chemical

Role:

A performance-driven sales professional responsible for driving business in paper chemicals including sizing agents, water-repellents, paper strength enhancers, and eco-friendly additives. This role focuses on promoting the companys innovative and sustainable chemical solutions to key paper manufacturers, managing principal relationships, supporting recycling initiatives, and expanding market share across India.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure timely supply of paper chemicals as per specifications and schedules

• Liaise with customers and internal teams to streamline order processing

• Regular follow-up on payments to maintain cash flow

• Identify and onboard new customers, manage sampling, trials, and pricing discussions

• Conduct and support trials for paper chemicals like sizing agents, water-repellents, and strength improvers

• Act as a communication link between principals and clients for technical support, compliance, and documentation

• Support ongoing recycling or eco-impact reduction projects in papermaking

Key Skills & Competencies:

• In-depth knowledge of paper manufacturing processes and paper chemicals

• Experience in conducting plant-scale trials and lab evaluations

• Strong skills in technical sales, customer engagement, and account management

• Understanding of eco-friendly additives, sustainable solutions, and water treatment in papermaking

• Good communication and coordination with international principals

• Proficient in MS Office and CRM tools; ability to create insightful business reports

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Chemistry / Paper Science

• PG Diploma or Certification in Sales / International Business / Product Management (preferred)

Experience Requirements:

• 8 to 15 years of experience in industrial sales (preferably in paper chemicals)

• Exposure to paper chemical trials including ASA, AKD, retention aids, and strength enhancers

• Experience managing principal relationships (especially overseas) is highly desirableRole & responsibilities
