Job Overview We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated, result-oriented Sales Executive who is passionate about industrial solutions and field sales. The role requires travel within Tamil Nadu and nearby states , strong interpersonal skills, and a drive to convert technical requirements into successful orders. The Technical Sales Executive will handle day-to-day tasks such as identifying client needs, providing technical solutions, and maintaining business relationships.The candidate will also be responsible for driving sales growth, understanding market trends, and managing customer inquiries efficiently. Role Description A. Lead Generation & Market Development Identify and develop new customers in assigned regions through: Tele-calling Site visits Industrial zone mapping Participation in trade exhibitions Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline. B. Customer Engagement & Site Study Visit customers regularly to understand their requirements. Gather space layouts, application needs, flow logic, and site conditions. Coordinate with the Pre-Sales team for drawings, BOM, and technical feasibility. C. Sales Proposal & Quotation Prepare and submit clear and complete techno-commercial quotations . Present solution-oriented proposals with technical and commercial highlights. Follow up with enthusiasm to clarify doubts and drive toward order closure. D. Order Finalisation & Coordination Negotiate terms in coordination with the management. Confirm orders with proper documentation and payment terms. Coordinate with internal teams (design, purchase, production) to initiate execution. E. After-Sales and Support Coordination Respond to customer service queries post-dispatch. Coordinate technical support and ensure issue resolution where needed. Follow up for timely payment collection as per terms. F. Reporting & CRM Discipline Maintain accurate daily/weekly records of: Leads visited Quotations sent Follow-ups done Orders converted Submit structured sales reports to the reporting manager on time. Qualifications Educational Background - Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering and/or MBA in Sales & Marketing Experience - 1–3 years in B2B Industrial / Project Sales; experience in Storage & Conveyor Systems preferred in sales, business development, and customer relationship management Technical knowledge & Understanding - Willingness to learn product layouts, BOMs, technical drawings, and process workflows in process technology and material handling equipment Strong presentation, negotiation, and communication skills Ability to analyze market trends and develop effective sales strategies Problem-solving skills and ability to provide technical solutions to clients Experience in the food processing industry is a plus Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools Willingness to travel as required for client meetings Location Preference - Salem-based or within 30–40 km radius  Important Attributes & Work Ethic Expectations · Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with CRM tools or lead tracking platforms · Polite and professional in customer interactions, with the ability to clearly explain technical solutions · Result-oriented, self-driven , and consistent in following up leads toward closure · Willing to travel daily for customer visits across Tamil Nadu and nearby states · Must maintain daily activity logs , submit sales reports, and escalate deviations or delays promptly to the reporting manager · Should exhibit a growth mindset — eager to build long-term value and take ownership of customer accounts and relationships Show more Show less
