Your role as a Technical Sales Director (Corrosion & Metallurgy) will be crucial in driving sales growth by leveraging your technical expertise, understanding client needs, developing strategic sales plans, and mentoring a team to achieve company objectives. **Responsibilities:** - Develop and lead a technical sales team, promoting excellence and collaboration. - Provide high-level technical sales support and consultations to key clients using your in-depth knowledge of corrosion and metallurgy. - Create and implement technical sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share. - Interpret complex client technical specifications and recommend appropriate products and solutions. - Conduct technical presentations and demonstrations for clients to showcase product capabilities. - Identify and pursue new business opportunities, maintain relationships with key clients, and generate leads through various channels. - Negotiate and close high-value contracts and sales deals. - Act as a primary point of escalation for client issues, ensuring high levels of customer service and satisfaction. - Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and technological advancements in corrosion and metallurgy. - Provide regular reports on sales activities, market analysis, performance metrics, and forecasts to senior management. - Recruit, train, mentor, and manage a high-performing technical sales team. **Qualifications:** - Bachelor's/Masters degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, or a related technical field. - Strong understanding of corrosion mechanisms, material properties, and related technologies. - Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. - Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. - Strong negotiation, closing, and strategic selling skills. - Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently or lead a team. - Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite. - Willingness to travel as needed.
