We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Technical Project Manager to be part of our fast-growing team with strong experience and a strong technical background (should be hands-on technically) and experience leading and managing agile software development teams. Our preference is for someone who has worked from the developer role to an analyst role and then to a project manager role. KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE Prior experience running software projects using Agile methodology Project planning Good command over spoken and written English Organized and detail oriented Lead and review business analysis and software specification documentation Hands on with technology. Should be able to lead the team technically. Angular/ReactJS Python/DJango/Flask ASP.Net Core Node.js Microsoft SQL Server/MySQL/MongoDB Experience with JIRA/TFS for Agile Co-ordinating test activities - including test planning, review of test scenarios/cases. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Overall project delivery responsibility Facilitate the team in the performance of their duties across development and testing Ensure process compliance, adherence and improvement across all software development activities Ensure brisk and efficient communication to project stakeholders including customer and higher management Identify and provide direction to support team members to modify behavior that could adversely impact group effectiveness and productivity Facilitate positive change in team, department culture and product development values Encourage and support others to take on responsibility and display accountability Responsible for recruitment, new hire training and smooth transition into projects Schedule, prepare content for, and lead regular job performance discussions for direct reports Release Management to deliver software releases on time and with high quality Provide timely feedback on code reviews and address defects and performance issues Stay tuned to department best practices and current technology trends, patterns and implement them where appropriate DESIRED PERSONALITY TRAITS Be able to keep the team focused towards project goals Have a passion for creating great software and solving difficult problems; you live for it Responsible for and take ownership of development tasks, testing and ultimately the code quality Accept the challenge and rapid growth potential of a fast-paced environment Fluent and proactive communicator, both verbal and written Possess a positive attitude towards work, responsibilities and others Use time effectively and bring a strong work ethic Detailed oriented and self-directed Use humor to carry yourself through challenges Can balance confidence with humility Love having fun and laugh a lot PREFERRED EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND FOR THIS ROLE Bachelor's or masters degree inInformation Technology/Computer Science OR equivalent industry exposure
