Technical Project Manager

Responsibilities:

• Project Delivery & Execution

• Oversee end-to-end deployment of IT solutions across banking systems such as core banking, payment gateways, loan origination, regulatory reporting, and risk management platforms.
• Build project plans, define milestones, manage budgets, and ensure timely execution.
• Deliver both traditional and sustainability-focused solutions, such as ESG reporting or climate risk analytics tools.

• Client & Stakeholder Engagement

• Serve as the main liaison with senior stakeholders at the clients Mumbai office.
• Maintain strong relationships, manage expectations, and align outcomes with business goals.

• Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure full adherence to the banks policies and RBI regulations on IT governance, data security, and outsourcing.
• Translate business and compliance requirements into detailed technical implementation roadmaps.
• Proactively identify and manage risks.

• Technical Project Management

• Coordinate integration of new systems with legacy banking platforms, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Manage vendor and OEM engagements for hardware and software deployment, ensuring adherence to SLAs and security standards.
• Drive infrastructure sizing, performance benchmarking, and disaster recovery (DC/DR) planning tailored for high-availability banking environments.
• Ensure technical documentation, configuration management, and knowledge transfer for long-term system maintainability.
• Collaborate with information security and compliance teams to embed RBI and bank-specific IT governance requirements into design and deployment.

• Sustainability & ESG (Preferred)

• Apply or develop knowledge in ESG, sustainability, or climate risk.
• Identify opportunities to integrate these themes into IT projects and stay updated on emerging regulations.

Requirements:

• Experience & Skills

• 5–8 years in IT project management, with strong exposure to banking or financial services.
• Proven success delivering large-scale tech projects in regulated environments.
• Client-facing experience is essential.
• Proven experience deploying and managing IT solutions in Indian banks is a must.
• Strong understanding of core banking platforms, payment systems, risk management applications, and regulatory reporting frameworks.
• Familiarity with RBI regulations, banking IT governance policies, and data security standards.
• Hands-on expertise in integration strategies (APIs, middleware, messaging systems) for connecting new and legacy banking systems.
• Ability to produce high-quality technical documentation, including deployment guides, configuration standards, and runbooks.
• Computer Science degree or relevant experience in the Software Development Life Cycle Experience handling large data sets.

• Education & Certifications

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Business, or related field; postgraduate is a plus.
• PMP® preferred; Agile certifications (PMI-ACP®, CSM®) are valuable.

• Technical Know-how

• Microservices & APIs: Understanding of microservices architecture, API-led integrations, REST/SOAP services, and event-driven messaging (Kafka, MQ).
• Data Platforms and Database Systems: Familiarity with data lakes, data warehouses, and streaming pipelines for regulatory reporting, risk analytics, and fraud detection. Understanding relational (Oracle, MS SQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases, including performance optimization and scaling.
• Cloud & Virtualization: Experience deploying solutions on premise and security requirements.
• Core Banking & Payments: Knowledge of core banking systems, UPI, NEFT/RTGS, credit card
