Technical Lead - Python

JOB POSITION

CGS India is seeking Tech Lead a talented and motivated Python Tech Lead to join our team.

Reporting to Team Lead, you will help refine and grow the capabilities of current systems, driving continuous improvement to meet our engineering needs. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and sustaining new product introduction related health care application systems.

In this role, you will also promote best practices and internal business processes. You will be responsive and able to adapt quickly to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment. You will work in a data driven environment, have a desire to drive change, and be excited by the opportunity to analyze systematic issues and implement solutions to challenging problems.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

The incumbent will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following key deliverables:

• Lead and mentor a team of developers, fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Proficiency in Python, including frameworks like Django or Flask, and experience with RESTful APIs and microservices
• Strong understanding of SQL for database design, querying, and management, including working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Proficiency with version control tools like Git.
• Design and develop scalable, robust, and maintainable software solutions, including web applications, backend services, RESTful APIs, and microservices.
• Design, develop, and manage SQL databases, optimize queries, and ensure data integrity, performance, and scalability
• Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and enforce coding standards to ensure high-quality, efficient, and secure code.
• Define microservices and event-driven architectures leveraging Kafka for high-throughput messaging.
• Drive cloud-native adoption: containerized deployments on GCP (GKE, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, BigQuery).
• Integrate LLMs (OpenAI, Hugging Face, LangChain, Vector DBs) into enterprise-grade applications.
• Promote AI-assisted development workflows (Copilot, code generation, automation).
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver high-quality products.
• Oversee project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communications, ensuring timely delivery of projects.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues in existing applications.
• Utilize and stay updated on Python frameworks (Django, Flask), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD tools.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills for effective team collaboration and stakeholder management.
• Strong agile/scrum development experience, experience interpreting user stories and applying the appropriate technical solutions to deliver operational results
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address technical challenges.

QUALIFICATION

Full time IT Engineering or equivalent degree (preferably in Computers )

Experience

• Bachelors degree in computer science, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in PL/SQL Development, Snowflake Dev, SQL / Python technologies

• 8+ years of professional experience in Python and SQL development
• Deep expertise in Python, Snowflake, and PL/SQL
