Overview

We are looking for a seasoned, hands-on Python developer to lead a dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in software engineering, particularly within the trading domain, and possess good knowledge of the FIX protocol. This role combines technical leadership with active development responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead development and testing teams, acting as the Technical Lead.
• Own the technical design and architecture of the application.
• Manage backlog grooming with detailed Definition of Ready (DoR), Definition of Done (DoD), user stories, acceptance criteria, estimations, task breakdowns, assignments, and progress tracking.
• Ensure technical quality and timely delivery of solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain trading applications using Python.
• Implement and support FIX protocol-based solutions for trading systems.
• Collaborate with traders, quants, and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver robust software solutions.
• Optimize and troubleshoot trading algorithms and systems for performance and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment to maintain code quality and stability.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in the trading domain.

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of proven experience as a Python Developer, preferably in the trading domain.
• Good understanding and hands-on experience with the FIX protocol.
• Experience with trading systems, market data, and order management systems.
• Proficiency in Python and related frameworks/libraries.
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases and data structures.
• Solid understanding of Generative AI, Copilots, AI agents, LLMs, and integration with platforms like AWS Bedrock and OpenAI.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with additional programming languages such as Java.
• Exposure to front-end technologies like React.
• Knowledge of financial markets and trading strategies.
• Familiarity with containerization and cloud technologies (e.g., Docker, AWS).
• Understanding of DevOps practices and tools.
