We are seeking our first in-house Technical Lead / Product Engineer to take ownership of our internal applications, manage external vendors, and ensure our systems run smoothly during peak business seasons. This is a hands-on role combining engineering, product ownership, and vendor management — ideal for someone looking to make a visible impact in a growing organization.

Key Responsibilities

Application Ownership & Management

• Oversee and support the Sales & Dispatch App (under development) and the DigiMaria platform.
• Ensure smooth integrations with MargBooks (Accounts) and HR1 (HR/Expenses).

Day-to-Day Support & Issue Resolution

• Triage support tickets from Accounts, Dispatch, and Sales teams.
• Resolve minor issues directly; coordinate with development agencies for larger fixes.

Vendor & Project Management

• Act as the liaison between business teams and external vendors.
• Review vendor code, track delivery, ensure proper documentation, SLAs, and handovers.

Integrations & Automations

• Manage and extend integrations including GST e-invoice/e-way bill APIs, WhatsApp Business API, payment gateways, and DigiMaria school data.

Security & Compliance

• Enforce role-based access controls and device binding for field staff.
• Maintain audit logs and ensure data integrity.
• Support monthly IT/HR audits.

Product Roadmap & Business Partnership

• Work with management to identify pain points in dispatch, collections, returns, and specimen management.
• Translate business requirements into reliable tech solutions.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 3–6 years in software or product engineering.
• Backend Development: Node.js/NestJS or Python frameworks (Django/Flask/FastAPI), REST API design, authentication (JWT/OAuth), and rate limiting.
• Frontend Exposure: React (web) and React Native (mobile). Ability to debug and guide vendors.
• Databases: PostgreSQL/MySQL, relational schema design, transaction handling, query optimization.
• Cloud & Infrastructure: Familiarity with AWS/GCP basics (compute, storage, managed DB, S3), Dockerized deployments, CI/CD pipelines.
• Integrations: Experience consuming 3rd-party APIs (payments, messaging, GST/e-invoicing), handling retries, error states, webhook flows.
• Automation & Scripting: Proficiency in TypeScript or Python for quick fixes and automations.
• Security & Compliance: Role-based access control, audit logging, encryption basics, offboarding processes.
• Communication: Strong ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Skills

• Experience with ERP-style applications or education technology platforms.
• Knowledge of GST/e-invoice/e-way bill processes.
• Exposure to barcode/QR systems and warehouse/dispatch flows.
• Prior experience in growth-stage companies or managing multiple vendors.

Education
