This leadership role focuses on operational excellence, regulatory compliance, team development, and driving technical advancements in steel manufacturing processes.Key Responsibilities Operational EfficiencyMaximize production efficiency and reduce downtime by implementing process improvements.Set and achieve targets for Overall Equipment Effectiveness (=85%) and production yield. Technical ExcellenceLead assessments and evaluations of operational processes to ensure the application of best practices in steel production technology.Benchmark and enhance production methods to meet a targeted improvement of 10%. Safety and Environmental ComplianceFoster a safety-first culture by promoting adherence to safety regulations and guidelines.Ensure compliance with local and national environmental regulations, preparing safety assessment reports. Innovation and Technology DevelopmentDrive R&D initiatives to enhance product quality and develop new steel grades.Evaluate and implement new technologies for operational improvements. Team Leadership and DevelopmentBuild and maintain a skilled technical team, promoting a culture of continuous learning.Oversee training programs and staff development, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Stakeholder EngagementCollaborate with production, quality, and maintenance departments to ensure seamless operations.Manage vendor relationships and evaluate technology partners to optimize plant efficiency. Regulatory CompliancePrepare for and manage audits related to safety, technology, and industry standards.Ensure 100% compliance with regulatory standards for environmental emissions and safety. Project ManagementLead engineering projects, including new installations, upgrades, and system improvements.Oversee all project phases from planning to execution to ensure timely delivery.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Production Metrics: OEE (=85%), Production Yield, Cost per Ton of Steel.Quality Metrics: Defect Rate (=1%), Customer Satisfaction Score.Safety Metrics: Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR), Days Since Last Accident (300 days). Cost Reduction Metrics: Energy consumption per ton of steel, reduced operational costs.Innovation Metrics: Number of new products developed annually, R&D investment (% of sales). Team Development Metrics: Average training hours per employee, staff attrition rate. Maintenance Metrics: Planned vs. unplanned downtime ratio, MTBF. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's/Masters degree in Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
