About the Role

We are seeking a Technical Evaluator – Programming & Tech to assess, validate, and maintain the quality of freelance professionals across a wide range of technology categories.

This role focuses on vetting applications from skilled freelancers, ensuring they meet professional standards before onboarding, and monitoring their ongoing performance for quality consistency.

You will be responsible for evaluating technical expertise, reviewing submitted projects and portfolios, and making data-driven decisions regarding approval, promotion, or demotion of professionals in the system.

Key Responsibilities

1. Pro Evaluation (Skill Vetting & Approval)

• Evaluate freelancer applications across multiple Programming & Tech categories, including:
• Website Development: WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, Wix, Custom Websites, etc.
• Languages & Frameworks: Python, React, Java, Flutter, etc.
• Software & Mobile App Development: Web Applications, iOS/Android Apps, APIs, QA & Testing, etc.
• AI Development: AI Integrations, Automations, Agents, Fine-Tuning, etc.
• Cloud, DevOps, and Cybersecurity.
• Assess applicants’ technical proficiency, code quality, and portfolio depth.
• Verify practical understanding of frameworks, tools, and programming standards.
• Approve or reject profiles based on defined benchmarks for expertise, communication, and professionalism.

2. Portfolio & Project Validation

• Audit freelancer portfolios for originality and relevance to their claimed expertise.
• Validate linked projects, notable clients, and past work to ensure authenticity.
• Flag any portfolio inconsistencies, plagiarism, or misleading claims.

3. Quality Benchmarking & Reporting

• Maintain internal evaluation rubrics and quality checklists.
• Document decisions with clear justifications and feedback for continuous improvement.
• Work closely with internal teams to align evaluation standards across categories.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related technical field.
• 4+ years of experience in software development, web/app development, or technical evaluation.
• Strong understanding of programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Python, React, Node.js, Flutter, Java, PHP, etc.).
• Familiarity with AI tools, APIs, automations, and modern cloud technologies.
• Ability to assess code structure, scalability, UI/UX quality, and documentation.
• Excellent analytical, written, and decision-making skills.
• Detail-oriented mindset with strong documentation discipline.

Preferred Attributes

• Prior experience in Technical QA, or marketplace operations.
• Understanding of industry standards in software, AI, and mobile app development.
• Ability to handle evaluations across multiple categories with objectivity and consistency.
