Roles & Responsibilities:

Asset Performance & Reliability Engineering:

• Lead the development and deployment of Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) across all BUs.
• Analyze Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) and Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) trends to identify chronic issues and systemic failures.
• Drive implementation of Condition-Based Monitoring (CBM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM).
• Standardize Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) methodology across plants.

Cross-BU Technical Collaboration:

• Act as a technical liaison between the Aluminium Sector CEO and BU CEOs to ensure alignment of technical priorities.
• Facilitate cross-functional task forces for high-impact issues (e.g., smelter reliability, power plant efficiency, refinery bottlenecks).
• Coordinate technical deep-dives and knowledge-sharing platforms across BUs.

Strategic Project Leadership:

• Lead or support CAPEX justification for major technical upgrades or replacements.
• Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies (e.g., advanced materials, automation, energy-efficient systems).
• Drive sustainability-linked technical initiatives (e.g., energy optimization, emissions reduction, water reuse).

Capability Building:

• Provide technical coaching to AO team leaders and engineers across BUs.
• Design and deliver technical training modules
• Build a technical competency matrix and succession plan for critical roles.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting:

Develop and maintain a technical performance dashboard with KPIs such as:

• MTBF, MTTR, OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)
• Maintenance cost per ton
• Energy consumption per unit output
• Safety incident trends linked to equipment
