Job Description

This position will be part of Quality Team responsible for machine safety compliance with standards. Focusing on reducing the Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) associated with hydraulic components. Conducting regular audits of electrical panel suppliers, tracking improvements, and generating monthly reports. Overseeing machine safety compliance with standards such as CE, ANSI, UKCA, and NR 12. Coordinating with project planning to ensure timely completion of machine safety projects based on dispatch priorities. Collaborating with inspection agencies to clarify project scope, obtain quotes, negotiate terms, manage purchase orders, facilitate advance payments, and ensure timely execution of inspections. Working closely with design and assembly teams to prepare machines for risk assessments. Ensuring timely execution of EMC/EMI testing in partnership with inspection agencies. Managing the documentation process for CE compliance, including the preparation of the Technical Construction File (TCF). Staying informed about amendments to standards and global requirements, such as transitioning from EN 201 to EN ISO 20430 and adhering to UKCA requirements for the UK market. Supporting colleagues in Germany regarding the feasibility of amending existing CE-certified machines in consultation with inspection agencies. Preparing and obtaining signatures for the Declaration of Conformity (DOC) for each CE-certified machine sold. Addressing queries from sales, design, and assembly teams related to certification by consulting with inspection agencies. Leading initiatives to resolve significant issues related to hydraulic components to drive business improvements. Conducting regular meetings with key suppliers to develop long-term solutions to ongoing issues. Engaging in discussions with service and customer support teams to implement countermeasures for hydraulic issues encountered in the field. Collaborating with design and assembly teams to develop actions based on feedback from suppliers regarding identified issues. Establishing a clear process for documenting component failures by creating failure forms. Ensuring the timely closure of GEMBA open issues within three months of receiving failed parts. Focusing on reducing the Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) associated with hydraulic components. Conducting regular audits of electrical panel suppliers, tracking improvements, and generating monthly reports. Minimizing downtime caused by electrical issues during testing and improving the First Time Right (FTR) percentage for the electrical panel and harness teams Team: This position will be part of Quality Team based at Ahmedabad Basic Qualifications: Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 10-12 Years of experience in Quality control & machine safety standards in machines manufacturing industries or industries providing testing , inspection & certification solution. Preferred Qualifications: Machine safety standard experience will be preferrable.
