Tax Associate

Role Overview: As a Tax Accountant for the Australian Division, you will play a crucial role in managing various tax-related responsibilities. Your main focus will be on preparing and filing tax returns for Australian clients while ensuring compliance with local tax laws and regulations. You will also handle Goods and Services Tax (GST), Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT), and other relevant Australian taxes. Additionally, your responsibilities will include assisting with the preparation of financial statements, supporting tax audits, and preparing tax calculations and reports for submission to the Australian Taxation Office (ATO). Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and file tax returns for Australian clients - Ensure compliance with Australian tax laws and regulations - Handle Goods and Services Tax (GST) and Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) - Assist in preparing financial statements - Support tax audits - Prepare tax calculations and reports for submission to the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) - Advise clients on tax-related matters including deductions, exemptions, and tax planning - Maintain financial accuracy and integrity by collaborating with other departments - Stay updated with the latest Australian tax regulations and legislative changes Qualifications Required: - Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Tax Accountant, specifically in the Australian domain - Strong knowledge of Australian tax laws, GST, and ATO regulations - Experience working with Australian clients or handling Australian tax matters will be advantageous - Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel - Attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work independently and meet deadlines - Good communication skills, both written and verbal Location and Working Hours: Immediate joiners are preferred for this position. The location of work is in Ahmedabad, India. The working hours are from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Saturday.
