As a Commis 1 Chef specializing in Indian Curry and Tandoori, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking authentic dishes in accordance with menu standards. Your role will involve handling marination, tandoor operations, and gravy preparations consistently while ensuring mise en place is completed daily for both curry and tandoor sections. It is crucial to maintain high standards of hygiene and sanitation as per FSSAI guidelines. Collaborating with senior chefs, you will assist in menu planning, portioning, and food presentation. Monitoring ingredient stocks and communicating requirements to the Chef de Partie will be part of your routine. Adherence to kitchen SOPs, controlling wastage, and ensuring timely service are key aspects of this role. To excel in this position, you should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Indian Curry and Tandoor sections, along with a strong understanding of Indian cuisine and traditional tandoor techniques. Your ability to work both independently and as part of a team, attention to detail, consistency in food quality, and good work ethics are essential traits. Flexibility in work schedules, including weekends and holidays, is required. This role is based in Gir, Gujarat, and includes provided accommodation and meals.
