Talend Data Engineer

Job Description

Purpose of the Position: As a Talend Data Engineer you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing scalable data pipelines. Location: Mumbai Type of Employment: Full-time Key Result Areas and Activities: ETL/ELT Solutions Development : Design, develop, and deploy ETL/ELT solutions both on-premise and in the cloud. Data Transformation : Perform data transformation using stored procedures to ensure data is accurately processed and formatted. Report Development : Develop comprehensive reports using tools like MicroStrategy and Power BI to support business decision-making. Documentation and Data Management : Create and maintain detailed documentation for data pipelines, configurations, and processes, ensuring data quality and integrity through effective management practices. Performance Monitoring and Issue Resolution : Monitor and optimize the performance of data pipelines, and troubleshoot and resolve any data-related issues promptly. Essential Skills: Good experience in Talend Suit (Talend Data Integration, Talend Cloud, etc.) Good experience in Snowflake & Stored Procedures Experience with ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, and data modelling Experience with data quality frameworks, monitoring tools, and job scheduling Knowledge of data formats like JSON, XML, CSV, and Parquet. Agile methodology & tools like JIRA Desirable Skills: Good experience in MicroStrategy and PowerBI Experience in scripting languages such as Python, Java, or Shell scripting Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and cloud data services Qualifications: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field 6+ years of experience in Talend Qualities: Experience with or knowledge of Agile Software Development methodologies Can influence and implement change; demonstrates confidence, strength of conviction and sound decisions
