Job Description

The Pharmaceutical Procurement Coordinator is responsible for managing the sourcing, purchasing, and inventory coordination of pharmaceutical products and related materials. This role ensures that procurement activities comply with regulatory standards, company policies, and quality requirements, while maintaining cost efficiency and timely supply to support business operations.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the procurement of pharmaceutical products, raw materials, and supplies in alignment with company requirements and demand forecasts.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with approved vendors and suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and compliance.
  • Monitor supplier performance, including delivery schedules, product quality, and contract adherence.
  • Process and review supplier contracts and related documentation.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Distribution Practices (GDP), and other applicable regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Finance, and Operations to ensure smooth procurement processes.
  • Assist in cost analysis, budget monitoring, and identifying opportunities for cost savings in procurement.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, reports, and documentation for audits and compliance purposes.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in procurement policies, procedures, and systems.

Education

  • Bachelor s degree in Pharmacy, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 4 years of experience in the Pharma industry.
  • Prior experience in pharmaceutical procurement, supply chain, or purchasing is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations, GMP, and GDP requirements.
