We are looking for a highly skilled and proactive System Administrator with expertise in Windows, Linux, and AWS platforms to join our team. Motivated and detail-oriented Microsoft 365 Administrator with at least 2 years of hands-on experience managing M365 applications and services. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and securing our M365 environment to ensure seamless collaboration and productivity across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of managing enterprise-level systems, ensuring seamless operations, and implementing best practices for infrastructure management. This role involves overseeing hybrid environments, automating workflows, and ensuring system security and reliability. Responsibilities: 1. System Administration (Windows / Linux M365) Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and file services. Administer Linux systems (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL) by managing services, monitoring performance, and implementing security policies. Troubleshoot and resolve server hardware, OS, and software issues efficiently. Perform capacity planning and recommend optimizations to ensure scalability and high availability. Manage and administer core M365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, and Microsoft Intune. Ensure the proper configuration and maintenance of M365 licenses, permissions, and user accounts. Monitor service health and resolve issues related to M365 applications promptly. 2. Cloud Infrastructure Management (AWS) Design, deploy, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure, including EC2, RDS, VPC, IAM, and S3. Monitor and optimize cloud resources for cost-effectiveness and performance. Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CLI. Manage hybrid environments and ensure seamless integration between on-premises and cloud systems. 3. Security and Compliance Implement and enforce security best practices across systems and cloud infrastructure. Perform system hardening, vulnerability scanning, and patch management. Manage user access and roles through AD, IAM, and group policies. Implement and manage M365 Security Compliance Center features, including DLP, eDiscovery, and audit logs. Configure and manage MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) and security policies to safeguard user accounts. Perform regular security assessments and apply recommendations to strengthen the M365 environment. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g. ISO 27001, GDPR). 4. Backup, Disaster Recovery, and High Availability Plan and implement backup strategies using tools like AWS Backup, Veeam, or similar. Develop and test disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity. Configure and manage high-availability solutions, such as clustering and load balancing. Configure and manage M365 backup and recovery solutions for Exchange, SharePoint, and OneDrive data. Test and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity. 5. Automation and Optimization Automate routine administrative tasks with scripts (Bash, PowerShell, Python) or configuration management tools like Ansible or Chef. Optimize system and network performance through proactive monitoring and fine-tuning. Collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure provisioning. 6. Monitoring and Reporting Set up and manage monitoring tools like Nagios, Zabbix, CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana. Develop custom alerts and dashboards for real-time visibility into system health and performance. Generate periodic reports on system usage, uptime, and incidents for stakeholders. 7. Collaboration and Team Support Work closely with software developers, network engineers, and IT support teams to resolve cross-functional issues. Provide technical support to end-users and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Train and mentor junior team members as needed. Manage Microsoft Teams to ensure proper functionality, governance, and integration with other M365 apps. Oversee SharePoint Online sites, libraries, and permissions, ensuring effective collaboration. Support the deployment and usage of productivity tools such as Power Automate, Power Apps, and Planner. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). 5 + years in IT systems administration, network engineering, and desktop support. Proficient in Windows Server Administration (Active Directory, GPO, IIS, WSUS). Strong knowledge of Linux environments (filesystem management, networking, shell scripting). Hands-on experience managing AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudFront, RDS). Understanding of networking principles (routing, firewalls, VPNs, subnetting). Experience with virtualization tools like VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM. Strong understanding of M365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Intune. Experience with Azure Active Directory and managing group policies, permissions, and roles. Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for automation and management tasks in M365. Knowledge of M365 Security Compliance Center tools and features. Basic understanding of networking principles (DNS, SMTP, firewalls) as they relate to M365. Skilled in creating automation scripts using Bash, PowerShell, Python, or other languages. Familiarity with automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Chef. Knowledge of system security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention, and patch management. Familiarity with compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, PCI DSS, ISO 27001). Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking. Effective communication skills for team collaboration and user support. Ability to multitask and adapt to rapidly changing priorities. Certifications such as: Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals (MS-900) Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Associate (MS-100/101) Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals AWS Certified SysOps Administrator / Solutions Architect Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or Engineer (RHCE) Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Administration Fundamentals or MCSA/MCSE Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes. Hands-on experience with DevOps tools (Jenkins, Git, CI/CD pipelines). Willingness to work rotational shifts like general, late EMEA hours and night shifts as required. Willingness to work from the Mysore office.
