System Administrator / Infrastructure Engineer

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced System Administrator / Infrastructure Engineer with 5+ years of hands-on expertise in server management, virtualization, cloud platforms, storage solutions, and infrastructure automation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for deploying, securing, and maintaining enterprise IT environments across on-premises and cloud ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities:Server & Infrastructure Management

· Deploy, configure, and secure physical and virtual servers (HPE, Dell, Cisco UCS) including RAID configuration, OS installation, and network setup.

· Manage and maintain Linux (RHEL) and Windows Server 2022 environments, along with deployment of Java/PHP-based web applications.

· Administer and optimize VMware vSphere/ESXi and vCenter, ensuring high availability and performance.

Cloud & Virtualization

· Provision, configure, and manage AWS EC2 instances, security groups, and backups.

· Implement load balancing solutions using HAProxy and Nginx for scalable and resilient applications.

Storage & Backup Management

· Handle SAN/NAS platforms including HPE Nimble and Dell Unity, LUN creation, mapping, and performance tuning.

· Ensure reliable data availability through proper backup, replication, and disaster recovery procedures.

Database & Web Server Administration

· Install, configure, and optimize MySQL and PostgreSQL databases.

· Manage and tune web servers including Apache, Nginx, IIS, and caching systems like Varnish for high-performance delivery.

Security & Network Management

· Configure and manage firewalls, VPN solutions, SSL/TLS certificates, and endpoint security/EDR tools.

· Implement best practices for server hardening, access control, and patch management.

Automation & Monitoring

· Develop Bash, PowerShell, and Python scripts to automate server provisioning, monitoring, and maintenance tasks.

· Monitor infrastructure performance using Nagios, Zabbix, and Prometheus, and proactively resolve issues.

Collaboration & Administration

· Manage Active Directory, Group Policies (GPOs), user access, and permissions.

· Administer mail/VoIP systems and maintain up-to-date documentation for systems and procedures.

· Coordinate with vendors for hardware purchases, support, and warranty management.

Qualifications & Skills:

· B.Tech / MCA

· 5+ years of proven experience in system administration or infrastructure engineering.

· Strong knowledge of virtualization (vSphere/ESXi), cloud platforms (AWS), and storage systems.

· Hands-on expertise in Linux and Windows server environments.

· Solid understanding of networking concepts, firewalls, and security practices.

· Experience in automation scripting and infrastructure monitoring tools.

· Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
