Role & responsibilities Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting : Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss reports Tax Compliance : Manage tax filings and ensure adherence to Australian tax laws and regulations. Preparation, review and filing of statutory monthly, quarterly and annual return including FBT, BAS, IAS, CTR, TPAR, STP, ITR and Payroll tax return & other ATO Lodgement obligation Bookkeeping: 1. Processing Accounts receivable and Accounts payable 2. Prepare and lodge BAS, IAS, and payroll tax returns in compliance with ATO requirements. 3. Handle payroll processing, superannuation, and employee entitlements. 4. Reconcile bank, credit card, and general ledger accounts. 5. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Advisory : Provide financial insights to support management in decision-making Regulatory Compliance : Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and maintain accurate financial records System Management : Introduce and maintain accounting systems like XERO Performance Monitoring : Track financial performance and identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency gains Coordinating with Foreign client over through phone calls Ensuring clients are made aware of their compliance obligations Preferred candidate profile Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA (Certified Practising Accountant) or CA (Chartered Accountant) qualification. Proven bookkeeping experience in Australia Minimum 1 years of experience in accounting or finance roles. Knowledge of XERO would be added advantage Ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders Communication Ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders. Analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset. Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners.
