Supply Chain Manager

Role Overview: As a Supply Chain Executive, you will play a crucial role in the planning, implementation, and management of the company's supply chain and logistics strategy. Your primary focus will be on maximizing efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring timely delivery of products. To excel in this role, you must be a proactive problem-solver with strong analytical and communication skills, coupled with a deep understanding of supply chain principles. Key Responsibilities: - Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive supply chain strategy aligning with the company's business objectives, including demand forecasting, inventory planning, and logistics management. - Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing holding costs and waste. Implement and manage inventory control systems. - Procurement and Sourcing: Lead the sourcing and procurement activities of raw materials, components, and finished goods. Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure quality, price, and delivery timelines. - Logistics and Distribution: Coordinate end-to-end logistics processes, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution. Optimize routes and rates with freight forwarders and transportation companies. - Supplier Relationship Management: Establish and nurture collaborative relationships with suppliers and vendors. Conduct performance evaluations and address issues proactively. - Process Improvement: Analyze supply chain data and processes to identify inefficiencies. Implement solutions for enhanced performance, reduced lead times, and improved productivity. - Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all supply chain operations comply with regulations and mitigate potential risks that could disrupt the supply chain. - Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure a seamless flow of information and goods. - Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory turnover, delivery times, and cost per unit. Qualifications and Skills: - Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CSCP, CPIM) are advantageous. - Experience: Proven experience in supply chain or logistics role with a strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes. - Technical Skills: Proficiency in supply chain management software and ERP systems.
