Job Description

Purpose of Function:


The Supply Chain Lead, APAC, is responsible for driving continuous improvement of supply chain processes to lower operational costs, enable profitable growth, and deliver a superior customer and employee experience. The role ensures best practices in SAP is applied, identifies opportunities for optimization, and enhances the end-to-end Order-to-Cash (O2C) process, from quoting to payment, across the APAC region. She/he collaborates closely with colleagues in the countries and headquarters and foster the culture of continuous improvement.


Tasks and Responsibilities:


Enable Operations

  • Act as the Regional Process Expert for supply chain processes in SAP, BI, and SAC.
  • Provide training as well as first- and second-level support for supply chain processes and their application in ERP systems.
  • Support Operations Managers, Supply Chain Managers, in APAC SAP countries to address operational constraints for daily operations and supplies from HQ.


Analyze and Monitor

  • Develop and maintain reporting suites and dashboards to monitor and improve operational performance.
  • Analyze end-to-end performance KPIs, identify trends, investigate root causes, and recommend improvements.
  • Oversee and improve operational planning and execution, implementing a continuous improvement approach for relevant processes, policies, and systems.
  • Monitor ERP system performance and collaborate with Finance, Controlling, Service, and IT to identify and implement system enhancement initiatives.
  • Ensure all operational processes comply with applicable legislative requirements and internal rules.
  • Support ERP implementation and improvement activate directly with the countries.


Improve

  • Optimize supply chain processes, including demand planning, inventory management, sales and operations planning (S&OP), global freight management, warehousing, and local distribution.
  • Act as a subject-matter expert for Order-to-Cash (O2C) and planning processes in SAP, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Champion operational excellence through proactive project management and process improvement.


Education:

Diploma/bachelor’s or master’s degree in supply chain management, Economics, Business Administration, or related fields.


Related Experience:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in supply chain operations, process management, or ERP system support, SAP experience required.
  • Proven track record in implementing and improving supply chain processes, particularly in O2C and demand planning in SAP.


Skills, Special Competencies, or Certifications:

  • Results-oriented with a strong performance, cost management and bottom-line orientation.
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively, deal with ambiguity, and manage changing priorities.
  • Cross-functional project and program management experience delivering on quality, cost and time.
  • Can work independently with a high degree of self-motivation.
  • Robust interpersonal skills, with evidence of cross-functional teamwork and collaboration in an international matrix environment.
  • Strong listening, communication and convincing skills to understand, explain and drive complex topics and issues without having hierarchical authority.
  • Proven operational and continuous improvement experience with a focus on driving productivity and process up-time.
  • Familiarity with operational excellence models and approaches like Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Agile, Scrum is a plus.
  • Knowledge of SAP and other operational systems is essential.
