for Paper Business Line (based in Pune, India) Are you the enthusiastic, self-driven and result-oriented professional who wants to move our customer’s performance forward? We are looking for “Supplier Quality Engineer” to be based in Pune, India. This position reports to “Supplier Quality Manager, PAP India Supply Management”. In this position you will have an opportunity to secure quality and delivery at supplier works, and status of ordered goods by conducting supplier workshop inspections, quality assurance and control, training and auditing suppliers. In this position, you will be required to, Create Quality Assurance and Control plan for each product/ section with internal and external stakeholders Execute regular inspections at supplier manufacturing location(s) according to established processes and checklists, especially for sheet metal and steel fabrication and machining Detailed planning of quality inspections according to established delivery quality inspection plan Create and store inspection reports according to established processes Engage with stakeholders for regular progress reporting Monitor and supervise the production process and project delivery, till marking and packing Create Non-conformity reports when issues are discovered and ensure that corrections are made for established Non-conformity reports Create welding data of all suppliers and regular process verification Provide supplier development feedback after inspections Create audits to review supplier quality process situation and action plans thereafter Provide input for supplier performance management after inspections Focus on “On time delivery” and physically expedite order deliverables at supplier works Search and induct new suppliers as per capacity requirements To Succeed This Role, You Will Need Bachelor/ master’s Degree in mechanical engineering 3-6 years of experience in relevant field Proactive mindset Go along with company HSE procedures and practices Deep knowledge and interest in reading and understanding drawings Understanding and knowledge of Quality management systems In depth knowledge of steel grades, welding processes and techniques, filler materials, shielding gases, heat inputs and pre-heating with deep knowledge of different kind of welding defects and acceptance criteria and in process welding control with suppliers Experience in working on welding inspection according to ISO 5817, fabrication, machining processes, casting, etc. processes and components In depth knowledge to prepare WPS, PQR and WPQ and train and monitor welder performance with suppliers with a high level of accuracy Ability to troubleshoot welding issues and find solutions Thorough knowhow on geometrical tolerances and knowledge measurement methodology Knowledge of surface roughness, non-destructive tests, etc. Knowledge of finishing and pickling methods including painting process principles and different inspection methods Good communication skills English language, written and spoken, is mandatory Willingness for travelling We Offer A rewarding position in a global industry leader in pulp, paper and energy industries with the possibilities to grow professionally.
