Role Overview The Associate – Civil Design & Engineering will be responsible for detailed design, grading, hydrology, and civil infrastructure layout for utility-scale Solar PV + BESS projects. The role includes coordination with electrical teams, permitting support, and optimization of land and drainage. Responsibilities Develop detailed site grading plans, cut/fill analysis, and piling layouts using AutoCAD Civil 3D and other design tools. Conduct pre- and post-construction hydrology modelling using Hydro CAD, FLO-2D, and ArcGIS. Design drainage systems, culverts, erosion and sediment control measures, and stormwater management solutions. Collaborate with the electrical design team on pile grading, equipment pad layout, and access road design. Prepare drawings including site layouts, stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPP), erosion control plans, and IFC drawings. Work on solar EPC and BESS projects, including substation site design and land development. Ensure compliance with local and international civil standards (IRC, AASHTO, ASTM, EPA, IEC, NEC). Coordinate with US clients, project managers, and regulatory authorities for approvals and design modifications. Job Description: The Development Analyst will provide strategic, analytical, and process-driven support throughout the renewable energy project development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, resourceful, and passionate about the renewable energy industry, with experience in solar/BESS project development, power markets, and regulatory landscapes in the US market & India. Key Responsibilities: Provide data-driven insights, research, and analysis to support the development of renewable energy projects. Perform Energy Yield Assessment through PVSyst, Loss Analysis and Uncertainty Analysis Preparation of Detailed Project Report, conduct feasibility studies whenever is required. Integrate with Business team on sizing, modelling the complex Integrated Renewable Projects (24x7 CFE, FDRE, Wind- Solar Hybrid, Solar-BESS) Assist with identifying and assessing new solar and renewable energy project opportunities including Solar +BESS, FDRE, utility scale Solar Support project due diligence, permitting, land acquisition, interconnection, and power marketing efforts. Conduct market research on regulatory filings, legislative changes, competitor activity, and power market trends for US and India Market Support contract negotiations, RFP responses, and financial modelling for renewable projects, Preparation of Detailed Project reports. Closely work with Engineering & Business to perform detailed research on US power market by reviewing utility’s integrated resource plans (IRPs) and other research materials. Formulate strategy for client as growth and most optimal region to focus on for future solar PV development to maximize positive impact to project bottom lines Work closely with PV engineering team, finance team and project management team to ultimately support predevelopment & post development services offered by SunStripe Coordinate execution of land control rights and interconnection rights for selected optimum development assets. Proposed projects (e.g. 3rd party environmental services, zoning and permitting services and various local testing and engineering services etc.) Determine feasibility and unique cost savings from Solar, Storage and other clean energy technologies Required Qualifications & Skills 3-5 years of experience in renewable energy project development, power markets, land & Connectivity, Research, Energy Yield Assessment, Tech Due-diligence and DPR.
