Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for a Quality Control Engineer, based in Bengaluru with some work from home options available. The Quality Control Engineer will be responsible for overseeing quality assurance, managing quality control processes, conducting regular inspections, and ensuring that products meet industry standards. The role also involves analytical tasks, implementing quality management systems, and maintaining clear and effective communication with team members. Qualifications Quality Control and Quality Assurance skills Analytical Skills and Quality Management experience Strong Communication skills Attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities Experience in the interior design or modular construction industry is a plus Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field Responsibilities Quality assurance and inspection Raw material inspection: Inspect all incoming materials (e.g., MDF, plywood, laminates, hardware, veneers) for defects, correct dimensions, quantity, and compliance with specifications. In-process checks: Conduct quality checks at every stage of production, including cutting, edge-banding, lamination, and assembly, to ensure workmanship and measurements are accurate. Dimensional and structural inspection: Verify that products meet dimensional, structural, and aesthetic requirements using appropriate tools like calipers and tape measures. Finishing and visual checks: Perform final visual inspections on finished items to ensure a high-quality finish, proper aesthetics, and integrity before packaging. Testing and functionality: Conduct functionality tests on moving parts, hardware, and accessories, such as checking that drawers open smoothly and handles are secure.
