Student Counselor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate, qualified, and dedicated Student Counsellor to support the emotional, psychological, and social well-being of our students. The counsellor will provide one-on-one and group counselling sessions to help students overcome personal struggles, manage academic and social stress, address addiction-related issues, and develop healthy coping mechanisms.

Relevant Experience: 0-1 years

Education: Psychology

Key Responsibilities:

Counselling & Support:

• Provide confidential counselling services to students dealing with emotional, behavioral, academic, or social challenges.
• Address issues such as anxiety, stress, peer pressure, bullying, family problems, and substance or digital addictions.
• Help students build self-esteem, confidence, and emotional resilience

Crisis Intervention:

• Respond promptly and effectively to students in emotional distress or crises.
• Liaise with parents, teachers, and administrators to ensure students receive appropriate support.

Preventive & Developmental Programs:

• Conduct awareness workshops and seminars on topics like mental health, stress management, time management, and addiction prevention.
• Promote a positive school environment that encourages emotional well-being and open communication.

Collaboration & Communication:

• Work closely with teachers, parents, and school management to identify students who may need counselling support.
• Maintain regular communication with parents while respecting confidentiality.

Record Keeping & Reporting:

• Maintain accurate and confidential counselling records.
• Prepare periodic reports on student well-being trends and counselling activities for school leadership.
