ob Summary: The Student Counsellor is responsible for providing psychological support, academic guidance, and personal development services to students. The role aims to enhance students' well-being, promote mental health awareness, and support academic and personal success throughout their university journey. Key Responsibilities: Provide individual and group counselling sessions to address academic, personal, emotional, and psychological concerns. Conduct mental health assessments and develop appropriate support plans. Assist students with crisis intervention and refer to external specialists when necessary. Promote and deliver workshops and seminars on stress management, time management, study skills, mental health awareness, etc. Collaborate with faculty, staff, and university departments to support student welfare. Maintain accurate and confidential records of counselling sessions in compliance with university policies and ethical standards. Participate in student orientation programs and outreach activities. Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all students, including international and diverse student populations. Stay current on best practices in counselling, psychology, and higher education trends. Qualifications: Master’s degree in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, or a related field (required). Professional certification or licensure in counselling or mental health (preferred). Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in student counselling, preferably in a university or educational setting. Key Skills and Competencies: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Empathetic, approachable, and non-judgmental attitude. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality. Crisis management and problem-solving skills. Cultural competence and awareness of diverse student backgrounds. Familiarity with counselling software and case management systems. Job Type: Full-time Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month Work Location: In person
