Structural Engineer

Role Overview: You will be responsible for structural design, preparation of calculation reports, guiding designers, reviewing 3D PDMS models, and ensuring compliance with international specifications and codes. Additionally, you will coordinate with other disciplines to deliver consistent designs and provide technical guidance to subordinates when required. Key Responsibilities: - Primary tasks will include structural design, preparation of calculation reports, guiding designers, reviewing 3D PDMS models, and more - Produce structural/system models using software like Sesam GeniE, FEMAP, STAAD-Pro, and SACS - Thoroughly check structural drawings & detailing in liaison with engineering calculations & 3D PDMS model - Preparation and checking of Material Take-Off (MTO) & Weight Control Report - Plan and work independently, reporting progress and schedule to team leaders and Project Management Team (PMT) - Coordinate review and approval of vendor documents to ensure compliance with contract requirements - Provide technical guidance to subordinates in the project structural team when required Qualifications Required: - Bachelor/Master of Technology in Civil/Structures - 5-10 years of relevant experience in the offshore Oil & Gas industry with specific experience in Structural Analysis for Offshore Oil and Gas facilities - Ability to meet schedules and deadlines as per discipline planning - Good coordination and communication skills - Exposure to Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) environments - Knowledge in detailed Engineering projects is mandatory - Effective team player, capable of working with Multi-National Clients and possessing good communication skills Please note that SBM Offshore N.V. is a listed holding company headquartered in Amsterdam, providing floating production solutions to the offshore energy industry.
